Adobe ColdFusion Summit 2016 just keeps on getting better! We're happy to announce that this year the evening event will be held at RiRa Irish Pub in Mandalay Bay Resort on October 10th.
Please be sure to join us for bites & libations at the RiRa Irish Pub in Mandalay Bay on the evening of October 10th at 5:30pm. Network with our sponsors and enjoy food, drinks and live music all while being served by one of the many servers brought from Ireland to participate in a special training program to progress their hospitality careers.
Come learn how this historic pub from the 1880s has been restored with much of its décor from the original Foley’s pub in Ireland by the Sheehan family who have owned it for generations. The bars, the floors and the architecture all were brought from Ireland to preserve the history of this famous pub.
This will be not only a fun experience to wind down after the full day of learning, but a great opportunity to network with your peers and experience a taste of Ireland!
The event will be held at 5:30pm shortly after the lasts session ends on Day 1 (October 10th).
Don't miss this, hope to see you there!

This year's content will be different than previous years, as we have a large number of customer showcase sessions that are focused on real-world implementations of ColdFusion on various technology topics. We're really excited to offer these, and encourage you to take a look at the descriptions for more information.

In addition, though the API workshop is still open we will be closing it so if you have any interest in learning more about how to implement APIs in your organization you still have some time to register for that workshop.
We acknowledged at CFSummit that we need to move the needle when it comes to bug fixes in the product. Just as we had announced, we are making improvements in this axis.
Here are some of the highlights so far.
A total of 423 legacy bugs (legacy bugs are those that were reported in previous versions starting from ColdFusion 11) were resolved as a part of the release.
A total of 95 external bugs were fixed in just update 1 and update 2 for ColdFusion 2016. More details about what fixes went in update 2 can be found in this post.
The average age for bugs to be verified by the product team from the time it is logged in the system is now down to 4 days. This was around 35 days during the ColdFusion 11 timeframe. This gives you a good sense of comparison between where we were and where we are headed towards.
Also, the upcoming update 3 promises to be an even significant update in terms of bug fixes when compared to update 1 and update 2. Stay tuned to hear about the upcoming update.
I want to leave you with the message that we are monitoring our improvements in this space very closely. You will hear more details about our overall improvements to bug fixes at CFSummit this year. We look forward to seeing you there!
There are only a handful of seats available for our preconference workshops on API and Security topics, so we will be closing registration very soon due to capacity limitations. Please register today if you haven't yet!
As a reminder, these workshops are full day hands-on labs so it's a great learning opportunity for your teams. Below is a summary of the workshop descriptions:
Developing and Managing APIs with Adobe ColdFusion API Manager
This full day preconference lab will cover API development with a focus on REST based APIs. It will include an overview of Adobe ColdFusion API Manager and walk through configuration of the environment, and various features available to create and manage APIs.
This full day hands-on training session will focus entirely on the topic of security as it relates to web developers, reviewing examples of how vulnerabilities are exploited and how to mitigate these vulnerabilities within your code.
Both of these full day preconference labs will have prerequisites and will require students to bring their own laptops for use. Further details on what will be covered and prerequisite information will be provided soon.
