[updated as the Java EOL date is now Feb, 2013]

Oracle has announced that updates to Java 6 will no longer be available post February 2013 in the Java SE 6 End of Public Updates Notice posted here.

We are aware of this and wanted to assure you that Java 7 support for ColdFusion 10 and ColdFusion 9 will be available through updates. The updates will go out before Java 6 will be EOLed in February, 2013.

Great news, Rakshith! I posted a CFDocument / Java 7 bug a while back but can't find it in the bugtrackers now, so I'll ask here: With CF9 on Java 7, if I use textarea within CFDocument, with format="pdf", I get an error (I can provide all details if you need it). Do you know if this has been fixed? Thanks.

Marc, just heard from Engineering that the issue you reported has been fixed.

For those of us that cannot upgrade to 9.02, will there be a simple way to update 9.01 or will this update be the same for both?
  5. Rakshith Naresh
Steve, It will be the same update for both CF 9.0.1 and CF 9.0.2.

    Thanks you.

WE can only hope that this update finally fixes ColdFusion 9.0.1 for OS X Lion. But today OSX Mountian Lio (10.8) was released. Any word on support for CF 9.0.1 and up on Mountain Lion?

Is this available yet? If so, what is the link for the update?
  11. Evert
I suppose this update might be pushed back since Java 6 will not be EOLed in november?
